UK weighing scale manufacturer Adam Equipment is launching what it calls “an offensive on gross industry wastage” and aiming to offer customers longer-lasting products that require less maintenance, starting with their latest CBX Portable Bench Scale.
With pressure increasing on businesses to reduce waste - the UK Government announced in November that it was spending £22.5 million on helping to curb industry waste(1) - Adam Equipment is focusing on weighing scales that not only last longer, but do not require recalibration by an engineer. The lifespan of a weighing scale in daily industrial use is typically one to two years – sometimes less.
The CBX, a compact bench scale perfect for weighing out small items or ingredients with precision accuracy, is made from durable ABS plastic, has external calibration meaning it can easily be recalibrated using weights by the owner, and is covered by Adam’s 24-month warranty. It’s available now via Adam Equipment distributors.

With capacity options upto 6kg, and accuracy as low as 0.1g, the CBX is designed for precision weighing and counting tasks.
The internal rechargeable lithium battery will last 216 hours between charges, and the 304 food grade stainless steel platter makes the scale ideal for the food industry. It boasts parts counting capabilities with preset sample sizes.
